Best-selling author, sociologist and historian Michael Schudson joins host Coy Barefoot to discuss his book, The Good Citizen: A History of American Civic Life. He considers the issues and challenges facing journalism today, the impacts— both positive and negative— of new media and the internet, and the role of a free press in supporting civic life today.
