Coy Barefoot talks with author and scholar Siva Vaidhyanathan, Robertson Professor of Media Studies at the University of Virginia and Director of the Center for Media and Citizenship. He is the author of The Googlization of Everything (And Why We Should Worry). They consider the new documentary (now in private screenings and released to theaters this fall), Starving the Beast, which explores the politically driven, ideologically assault on higher education in America. Siva was interviewed for the film, which explores in depth the attempted forced resignation of University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan in 2012.
